About Ruth

As a child I loved art and drawing, and now I have the opportunity to combine this interest with my love for animals. Most of my working life has been in NHS nursing and other health-related roles, then during the 2020 lockdown I took a degree in Veterinary Nursing and was excited to embark on the career path I’d always dreamed of. Unfortunately, for health reasons I’ve had to put my veterinary nursing career on hold. 

It’s always been important to me to have some creative outlets: mostly yarn-based crafts and creating novelty cakes for my children’s birthdays. When I could no longer work, an online class on pencil drawing gave me the impetus to pick up my pencils and produce unique portraits of your beloved furry friends!

I live in a village on the edge of Cambridge, have five children, two cats and a dog.
